Finally a word about leather horse tack. There really is no substitute for good quality English leather tack! The market is flooded with cheap foreign imports of vastly inferior quality so do be aware of this. Good quality English leather tack that is properly cleaned and oiled will genuinely last a lifetime. Poor quality cheap foreign leather will certainly not do so. In addition, it can be prone to breaking, which can be highly dangerous. Always ask for English leather where your budget permits! As a general rule, if it is new and cheap then it is unlikely to be English leather.

Equestrian Tack Fitting

Finally, a word about tack fitting. Most items come in Pony, Cob and Full sizes so it vital that you have the right size for your horse. It is essential that your tack correctly fits your horse. If you are in any doubt, do please ensure that someone who knows what they are doing fits your tack specifically to your horse or pony. An incorrectly fitting bridle, for example, can cause rubbing and may even lead to behavioural problems. This applies to all pieces of horse tack!
